Overview for BD 365974 Microtainer® Blood Collection Tubes with K2EDTA
BD Microtainer® Blood Collection Tubes with K2EDTA are used for the collection, storing and transportation of blood specimens. This model is used specifically for skin punctures such as heelsticks on infants or fingersticks on small children.
The Micrograd tube and closure features a wider diameter with an integrated collector and improved mixing ability. It has tube inversions, which help prevent clotting. The tube holds between 250 and 500 μl of blood. It has a plastic reservoir and a lavender color-coded closure. The tube has Dipotassium EDTA, Beadless (K2EDTA) added to it.
Each tube has a printed lot number, fill lines and expiration date. Extenders are available to help attach patient labels for transport.
