The Vacutainer® SST™ Transfer Tube contains spray coated silica to aid in clotting and a polymer gel for serum separation. The tube is used for serum determination in chemistry, infectious disease testing and blood donor screening. Using the Vacutainer® SST™ Tube helps lab workers work more efficiently with improved serum sample preparation.

The tube features inversions that help make sure the clot activator mixes with the blood. The blood clotting time is 30 minutes.

The tube is made from plastic, which reduces breakage and specimen spillage. The disposal is easy and complies with EPA guidelines.
