Overview for BD Vacutainer Fluoride Tubes
The Vacutainer® ® Fluoride Tubes have powdered sodium fluoride and potassium oxalate added to it. The Tubes are used to collect samples for glucose determinations.
These plastic Tubes allow preventing clotting and help the additive mix with the blood via inversions. The Hemogard™ Closure prevents health care workers from coming in contact with blood. The closure features a rubber stopper that is recessed inside the plastic shield. This prevents any blood drops from coming in contact with personnel.
The Tube are made from plastic, which reduces breakage and specimen spillage. The disposal is easy and complies with EPA guidelines. These Tube feature a light gray Hemogard™ or conventional Closure and paper label.
