Overview for BD Vacutainer Glass Citrate Tube with Hemogard Closure
The Vacutainer® Glass Citrate Tubes are used for routine coagulation studies. This tube has 3.2% buffered sodium citrate solution added to it. Citrate tubes are used for routine coagulation studies. The Tubes measure 13 x 75 mm with 4.5mL draw volume and come with Light Blue Hemogard™ Closure and paper label.
The Hemogard™ Closure prevents health care workers from coming in contact with blood. The closure features a rubber stopper that is recessed inside the plastic shield. This prevents any blood drops from coming in contact with personnel.
